Aleenah - belly dance performer and instructor

Aleenah began dancing and studying music at the age of three. She attended Ballet School and graduated from Music School in Odessa, Ukraine. Aleenah’s dance background also includes Latin and Argentine tango. After moving to the United States Aleenah received her BS in studio art and focused on studying Middle Eastern dance.

As a bellydance instructor and performer, Aleenah offers a unique perspective, drawing upon a wide range of bellydance styles: Turkish, Gypsy, Greek, Egyptian, American Cabaret, and Tribal. Aleenah’s musical training, extensive music library and familiarity with diverse cultures contribute to her versatility. Her original costume designs and artful

approach to choreography create exciting and unforgettable performances.

Aleenah teaches private and group classes, as well as seminars in bellydance at dance studios, fitness clubs, schools, and adult education centers. Her expertise allows her to adapt programs to the specific needs and goals of students, whether they are looking for fitness, stronger technique, choreography, improvisational skills, professional stage presence, or simply dancing for fun. Aleenah also conducts educational presentations on the Middle Eastern dance history and folklore.

Aleenah performs at premier and multi-cultural venues in Connecticut that have included Istanbul Café, Thali Indian Restaurant, Villa Capri Banquet Hall, Hyatt Regency Greenwich Hotel, Connecticut College, Pulse Lounge, Europa Restaurant, Shuttle Meadow Country Club, Cedar Brook Café, Evergreen Woods Retirement Center, UCONN, Darbar Indian Restaurant, University of Hartford, Fantasia Banquet Hall, Saint Clement’s Castle, Garde Arts Center, and Toad's Place.
